WHAT is the color of hope? Are the
markers of hope easily identifiable, specific in nature, symbols, colors or types? Can specific persons or acts be "The
Color of Hope"?
I venture to say, “The Color of Hope” is not
a single color, but the blending of hues, that when joined characterize LOVE.” “The Color of Hope”
is an act of kindness, encouraging word or hand on the shoulder that tells someone they are not alone.
“The Color of Hope” is seen in the eyes of those waiting for test results that
may alter their lives forever. It is in the words of the DOCTORS who must explain to a patient the nature of their illness,
treatment plan or life expectancy. It is a deep desire for a cure from this debilitating disease, and not only by those afflicted
with it but for future generations to come. It is living with the expectation that research will bring a cure on tomorrow
and that you will be alive to benefit from that cure.
“The Color
of Hope” is seen in the strength displayed by those yet in this fight for life, and the foot supporters and researchers
have placed on the throat of this monster known as cancer.
"The Color
of Hope" is a support system that includes prayer. It extends from one person to another or others.
Never, forget, that “The Color of Hope” is every survivor in this room, every survivor
you encounter, every researcher and yes every supporter. It is God working in others, on your behalf. Cr. Ms.
